Product Description

Earthworms are great for gardens! They burrow through the soil effectively aerating your lawn and garden. While they spend most of the time deep underground, earthworms occasionally surface to collect food like leaves and other debris. This process turns your soil, breaks through compacted layers and incorporates precious organic matter deep into your soil. Put these earth workers to work for you! These Worm Cocoons come in packs of 750 and hatch up to six live worms each. For vermicomposting systems, we recommend a different species known as red worms.

Note: Due to state regulations, we can no longer ship Worm Cocoons into the state of California. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Because beneficial insects ship from a different location, you might not receive them on the same day as the rest of your order.

Conserving Water with Hydroponics
Did you know hydroponic gardening actually conserves water? This is because most hydroponic systems are “closed” and recycle the water and nutrients back to the plant. Irrigated soil gardens experience a far higher rate of water loss due to evaporation and runoff. All-in-all, hydroponics requires about one tenth the amount of water that traditional growing methods demand.
