Into Second year with composter. I find it difficult to turn pile with this unit. Bottom of the unit opens, but one needs to chose ones pile turning tool carefully; I find shovels and espescially forked tools used to 'turn the pile' from the bottom to the top can seriously damage the bottom slats

Easy to setup! Access from front door was awesome. Great for a beginner or someone who wants to do minimal work on the pile.

In the third year, this started to fall apart at the bottom. I rearranged the slats, putting the non-damaged ones at the bottom. Less than a year later, it's again falling apart at the bottom, and can't be salvaged this time.

The Garden Gourmet Composter is a flexible unit that allows the user to turn compost or just let kitchen and garden waste sit and break down over time. The entire double-hinged lid lifts to expose the compost pile, a large sliding bottom door permits easy access to finished compost, and the sides of the unit contain adjustable air vents for internal temperature control. Easy snap together assembly with no tools, made from 100% recycled plastic. Holds 11 cubic feet.
